Summer Fruit and Oily Fish Breast Cancer Antidote
Seattle researchers found a 32 % reduction in breast cancer risk in women who took fish oil supplements. Their study, involving 35,000 women, was published in the July 2017 issue of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. This from Dr. Weil, who also points to a study showing that phenols in plums and peaches destroyed “even the most agressive breast cancer cells.” That study was published in 2016 in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry. These compounds appear to seek out and kill cancer cells without being dangerous to normal cells. Weil thinks we should use these compounds instead of normal chemo, but I’m thinking more along the lines of a wild salmon dinner with a big summery bio-regional salad at the Farmer’s Kitchen Cafe in Davis!
